Sherry Reynolds

Uptown Dance Partner and Certified Instructor in Ballroom, Country & Swing

Sherry began dancing in 1990, studying and competing Ballroom and Latin in the early 90's. As an amateur, she won many top student awards including Top Silver Showcase two years in a row at the Texas Challenge. Her amateur status ended after winning the Gold International Latin division at three major ballroom competitions in 1995.

Sherry has served as instructor and coach for the UT Ballroom Dance Club since 1996. She is currently competing with Pro-Am students in both swing and country, and is coaching couples in all styles of partner dancing. She has many students who have placed at the top of their divisions of competition.

Sherry began professionally competing on the country circuit in 1999 and successfully qualified for and competed in the Masters division in 2005. Some of her titles include:

• 2004 Baltimore Bash Ope n Showcase Grand Champions
• 2003 ACDA Superstar National Champion
• 2002 UCWDC Showcase Crystal World Champion
• 2003 & 2004 Texas Classic Open Showcase Champion
• Place 2nd in Rising Star Strictly Swing at America's Class ic in 2003
• 2002 Fun Country Division I National Champion
• 2000 Fun Country Division II National Champion
• 2002 Dallas Dance 5th Place In Cabaret

Professional certifications include TSDA certified swing judge, UCWDC and ACDA certified country judge, DIVDA certified, qualifing as Highly Commended, in International Ballroom.
