Mark A. Moy

Austin Uptown Dance Partner and Certified Dance Instructor

Mark is a competing professional and Pro-Am Instructor/Coach for American Smooth and Rhythm, as well as International Standard and Latin. His competition credits include NDCA Ballroom events, Swing and Country-Western circuits. Mark has been teaching dance in Austin since 1997, and was instrumental in creating a well-rounded program at Tapestry Dance Company in 2004 when he joined the staff to bring Salsa and Ballroom classes to the Academy.

Mark is devoted to his art as an opportunity for students' personal growth as well as enrichment. Through his insightfully crafted teaching methods, Mark brings unique vision to every student's journey in dance, whether social or competitive, and in life. His fulfillment as a teacher comes in the progress of every student, where basic movement, understanding of technique, development of performance skill and the joy of learning all combine to send students off into what can become a meaningful lifelong passion.
