Mitch started his Salsa "addiction" in 1997. As a dancer and instructor, his focus is on being versatile and teaching the contemporary styles of Salsa taught in the international Salsa scene. Mitch's teaching centers on having good lead/follow fundamentals along with good social dance skills and etiquette as a basis for making the dance look smooth, effortless, and fun. Mitch is an active promoter of Salsa in Austin and the greater Texas Salsa scene, as a host to international instructors, a promotor of local and statewide events, the moderator of the AustinSalsa Yahoo eGroup, and as the SalsaWeb.com city correspondent.

Salsa is not just a dance to Mitch, but a lifestyle of culture, dance, music, and friends.
