Salon Style Argentine Tango Instructors

Juan Carlos and Alicia Suarez, husband and wife, are natives of Buenos Aires, Argentina, where they dedicated a great part of their lives in developing their skills and mastering this artistic dance. Juan Carlos started to dance at a young age and devoted his youth to performing the Tango in the dance academies of his beloved city.

He learned to dance in schools of the Barrio and was soon able to teach both men and women how to combine their skills in the proper execution of the dance with style and elegance.

Juan Carlos and Alicia arrived to New York in 1966 and in 1978 moved to Houston, Texas where, as in New York, they became members of the "Argentinian House" of Houston, sharing social events and special celebrations in the Hispanic community.

In 2009 they arrived in Austin and are currently teaching beginner and intermediate level group classes at our South studio at Tapestry. They are also in available for private lessons at our North studio.
