David Cantu

Uptown Dance Partner and Ballroom, Country, Swing & Salsa Instructor

David has studied and instructed partner dancing for over fifteen years now. During that time he has focused on a variety of dance styles. He began his teaching career in Ballroom and, a few years later, incorporated Country Western. After a business hiatus, he returned to dancing and put his attention on West Coast Swing and Salsa.

David has owned and operated three dance studios in Austin and his classes have been some of the most popular in town. He feels each person experiences different benefits from dancing, and he enjoys great pleasure in teaching group classes and performing. In addition, David excels in the entrepreneurial and marketing aspects of the art form and looks forward to his involvement in Austin's newest dance center, Uptown Dance.
